Salmon mousse

Johanna Budwig recommended flaxseed oil and quark for cancer sufferers. You can add your own quark to this recipe. I haven't added quark as it is a milk product. Even on Phase II some people still react to milk products so in general, I don't include them in my recipes. Instead of quark, I use Salmon.
The omega 3 oil in the flaxseed is combined with the sulfur amino acids in the salmon. Be sure that all the oil is combined into the mixture.
Normally the omega 3 oils in flaxseeds are poorly absorbed. With this formulation, the oils pass quickly into the body. You will notice the difference in your skin almost immediately.
Some arthritis sufferers notice a difference to joint pain quickly with this formulation.
For Phase I, omit the Shiokoji ferment.
In Phase II D2D remember to add foods gradually. Adding lots of fermented foods all at once can be lead to a Herxheimer ('die-off') reaction. This is where the microbes in the ferment compete with the microbes in the gut (usually the upper intestine) and cause the microbes in the gut to die, leaving inflammation, bloating and pain. By adding one new food per week, this is less likely to happen.
Ingredients
- Smoked salmon - 1 sheet
- Cold pressed flaxseed oil - 60mls
- Water - 10-30mls
- Shiokoji 1/2 tsp
Method
Combine all ingredients.
Blend together in a mixer or with a hand mixer. Start with 10mls of water. If the mix is too thick add more water.
Enjoy!
Variations
Use tuna instead of salmon for a cheaper option.
Use coconut milk instead of water to increase the creaminess.
