Creamy fermented Tofu and Mushroom sauce

Imagine combining the wonderful healthful effects of fermented tofu with fermented mushrooms! This sauce is the stuff of 5 star restaurants plus its sooo good for you!

Use it with the Spicey meat balls dish to make a wonderful scrumptious combo dinner or use it cold with salads.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Tofu
  • 1 handful of mushrooms
  • 10 mls of Shiokoji
  • 1 can of coconut milk/cream
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Chop the tofu into cubes and tear the mushrooms into smaller pieces.
  2. Combine the tofu and mushrooms with Shiokoji, cover and leave to ferment for 8-24 hours
  3. Combine the fermented tofu and mushrooms with the coconut milk, and blend in a food mixer until smooth.
  4. To use as a warm sauce, heat very gently until just simmering until warm.
  5. Enjoy!
