Kombucha Beer

Kombucha beer isn't real beer but it may just hit the spot for those that would like to cut back on alcohol intake. As well as providing all of the live bioactive substances in Kombucha, it also provides a source of magnesium and alkalinizing bicarbonate and just a splash of quinine which may be just a little helpful for joint disorders as well as viral and parasitic infections. The ratio of kombucha to Tonic water is 1 part kombucha to 4 parts tonic water, so you can make more or less according to your taste. Magnesium and bicarbonate can have a laxative effect, so again, do adjust the quantities according to your requirements.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp Epsom salts
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 20 mls of kombucha
- 40 mls of tonic water
Method
- Add the Epsom salts to the kombucha and stir well
- Add the tonic water and stir again
- Add the bicarbonate of soda (make sure your glass is tall enough for to accommodate the fizz) and stir until the magnesium and Epsom salts are all dissolved
- Enjoy!
